Google Overfills Linux Chief’s Spam Folder

Spam has dropped to its lowest level since 2003, but don’t mention that to Linus Torvalds. He’s the guy who created Linux and right now he’s not very happy with Gmail’s spam filtering.

That’s because, starting earlier this week, Google GOOGL +16.05% quietly started marking hundreds of legitimate email messages sent to Mr. Torvalds as spam.  When the Linux developer went into his spam filter to investigate, he discovered that more than 30 percent of his spam in-box was legitimate email.
