Kaspersky Lab, an international anti-virus software
development company, announces a new version of Kaspersky
Anti-Virus (AVP) for Linux. This latest version combines unique
functionality, significantly simplifying the program.

“This new edition is defined into two separate products: one for
workstations and another for servers.”

“Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux Workstation now consists of five
main modules: an AVP Scanner to check disks on demand or by using
an additional third-party scheduler; Lite versions of the AVP
Daemon (an anti-virus scanner with an improved loading-into-memory
procedure); an on-access scanner AVP Monitor, which intercepts and
checks for viruses on all files being used in real-time; a new
interactive user interface AVP Tuner, which allows prompt and
effective control of all program settings; and AVP Updates enabling
users to easily download daily anti-virus database updates via the
Internet.”
