“Microsoft antitrust trial Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson on
Thursday may have given the government some powerful help by
questioning whether a Web browser on a PC creates a security
risk.”

“Jackson raised the security issue during the testimony of
Princeton University computer scientist and government expert
witness Edward Felten. He had testified earlier in the trial, and
is now the government’s third and final rebuttal witness.”

“Judge Jackson asked Felten if including a browser with an
operating system creates security vulnerabilities, such as
potential virus infections.”
