“The Tokyo, Japan-based anti-virus power Trend Micro Inc. has
confirmed what Linux users have long known: Linux is safer than
Windows.

“In a ZDNet interview, Trend’s CTO for malware, Raimund Genes,
said, ‘Open source is more secure. Period. More people control the
code base; they can react immediately to vulnerabilities; and open
source doesn’t have so much of a problem with legacy code because
of the number of distributions.’
