LinuxPPC has posted an updated version of the ProFTPd FTP server
to its FTP server. This new version incorporates an official patch
from the ProFTPd group that fixes the potential overflow exploit.
The file is located at:

http://ftp.linuxppc.org/ftp/linuxppc-1999/software/network/proftpd-1.2.0pre4-1.ppc.rpm

FTP is not installed in the default installation of LinuxPPC, so
users who are not running FTP on their LinuxPPC boxes do not need
this upgrade.

The company will be releasing wu-ftpd and beroftpd upgrades in
the very near future.
