“The Motorola SLX2020 network appliance is designed to power
Internet networking applications such as web access, web security,
web caching, and virtual private networks.”

“KeyLabsTM Inc…announced that Motorola Computer Group’s
(MCG’s) SLX2020 network appliance has passed KeyLabs’ network
server compatibility tests in support of major Linux operating
system distributions. KeyLabs’ compatibility testing showed the
SLX2020-the first of Motorola’s recently announced SLX Series of
network appliances-to be compatible with Caldera System’s OpenLinux
2.2 and 2.3, Red Hat 6.0, SuSE Linux 6.0 and TurboLinux 3.0.1.”

“The Motorola SLX2020 network appliance is designed to power
Internet networking applications such as web access, web security,
web caching, and virtual private networks (VPNs). According to
KeyLabs, the SLX2020 passed every “Linux-Tested” compatibility test
it was put through, from keyboard, adapter, kernel and port
compatibility to CD-ROM installation, heavy disk I/O and network
functionality testing. “Linux-Tested” is an open test program
that affords both hardware vendors and IT departments the
opportunity to test and verify hardware compatibility across
multiple Linux distributions.
