To be honest, I find that while there are probably more
possible exploits to be created and found in Linux, the Open Source
model helps keep the holes plugged as they arise, and Open Source
helps plug them faster than a proprietary OS would, even under the
best of circumstances.

“So what does all of this tell us? Simply that the same old FUD
is not only back, but that MS is selling it like it were a case of
pirated Pokemon cards.”

“After all, unless you actually hang around servers,
patch-panels, routers and assorted machinery all day, how are you
going to know what the heck security patches, hot fixes, and source
codes do? This message from MS was obviously not aimed at sysadmins
(who would find such “news” laughable at best), but instead was
aimed at the general ignorance of the home user and the
CEO/non-techie decision-makers. Something else to keep in mind, if
you ask me.”
