“eSoft, the company that provides edge of network Linux-based
software and services, today announced a licensing and distribution
agreement with Hewlett-Packard’s (HP) Complementary Products
division in Latin America. HP will license and distribute
eSoft’s redphish Linux Internet appliance software as a key
component of a complete hardware and software solution to the Latin
American marketplace.
This agreement expands HP’s recent
initiatives with eSoft including a similar agreement with the HP
Complementary Products Division in Germany.”

“Hewlett-Packard is an excellent strategic partner for us and we
are very pleased to be moving forward with other divisions of HP,”
said Scott Hickman, vice president of sales for eSoft. “This
agreement will extend our geographical coverage and distribution
for redphish across Latin America.”

“As part of the strategic agreement, HP will integrate redphish
onto its hardware platform and market Internet connectivity
applications and services to small- and medium-sized businesses
throughout Latin America. redphish will provide HP customers with a
robust feature set, including e-mail, Web server and firewall
security operating on the HP product architecture.”
