“Linux-based computer systems soon will be able to trace
hacker attacks in a matter of seconds with a software package
developed by an N.C. State University research team.

The software, called Deciduous, has been in development more
than two years by a team of 13 researchers using a $480,000 federal
grant.

small computer operations, but for Internet service providers, or
ISPs, working in collaboration to snare an intruder.”
