“The big news this week is a bug in Apache. Zope as well has a
number of holes, and you should upgrade both. Most vendors have
also issued sudo upgrades; you should definitely upgrade that if
you are using it. Slackware thought it had an imapd security
problem, but after checking the exploit they found it didn’t work.
This does not mean that their imapd is problem free, it simply
means that specific exploit did not work for them.”

to vendor advisories. Most items appear in alphabetical order. If
we’re missing a Linux vendor’s advisory, please tell us – ditto for
any Linux-related security alerts. The long strings of hex in front
of package names are MD5 signatures.”
