“A relatively interesting week, several large problems found
in distributions, and several major new tools released. Apache
1.3.12 was released, with a fix for the cross site scripting
vulnerability
, it is highly recommended to upgrade to this
version if possible.”

“We lead off with vendor advisories (distributions, then any
major software ones), then mailing list related traffic, any
interesting tidbits and then the tip of the week. Most things are
in alphabetical order. If we’re missing a Linux vendor’s advisory
please tell us, ditto for any Linux related security alerts.”

“Tip of the week:
Upgrade to Apache 1.3.12, it fixes several large problems, and also
includes some new capabilities. You can get Apache and information
on it at: http://www.apache.org/. You might also want to email your
vendor and ask when they will have an official package out.”
