Y2K fix, mod_perl and php3, and SPARC kernel updates…
The “timetool” time and date configuration utility shipped with Red
Hat Linux 4.2 and 5.2 has been found to represent the year 2000 as
a non-leapyear, when in fact February 29, 2000 is a valid date. The
timetool shipped with Red Hat Linux 6.0 does not have this issue.

Red Hat Linux 5.x:

The mod_perl Apache module shipped with Red Hat Linux 5.2 and
Secure Web Server 2.0 does not function properly with the latest
errata release of perl available for that platform
(perl-5.004m7-1). This is due to dependencies within mod_perl on
perl itself.
Red Hat Linux 5.2:

Alpha:

Secure Web Server 2.0:

The PHP v3 Apache module shipped with Red Hat Linux 6.0 Web Server
2.0 does not function properly with some PHP code. The PHP team
also discovered some issues with PHP and glibc 2.1. For this
reason, we are making PHP 3.0.8 available, which corrects these
issues. We have also included PostgreSQL and IMAP support on the
basis of user demand.
Red Hat Linux 6.0:
Intel:

Alpha:

New kernel packages to solve random crashes on SPARC based
computers are available. These crashes are typically seen while
running the X Window System or the Kaffe JVM.
Critical parts of the kernel were miscompiled by the egcs
compiler causing system instability. Fixed egcs packages are
available for users that wish to build their own kernels. Users
wishing to build UltraSPARC kernels will need to upgrade the egcs64
package.
Follow the guidelines in the kernel upgrade documentation
provided by Red Hat Support at:
