management software, today introduced a new solutions strategy for
Legato Cluster Enterprise. This strategy reveals new partnership
initiatives for developing solutions based on Legato Cluster
Enterprise, starting with the introduction today of two new
high-availability HA) solutions to support global, 24×7 business
operations for e-commerce and disaster recovery. In addition,
Legato is introducing support for Linux, providing a unique and
robust infrastructure to enable Linux programmers to create their
own open-source HA solutions. By providing best-of-breed HA
solutions developed in-house, and by encouraging and enabling
independent solutions development, Legato expects to be able to
provide more and better HA options than any other vendor in
2000.”
