“A Linux Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: LNUX) has been named to Deloitte
& Touche’s prestigious “Fast 50″ Program for Silicon Valley, a
ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area.
Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in revenues from
1995-1999 (five-year period).”

VA Linux Systems’ president and CEO, Dr. Larry M. Augustin,
attributes the company’s 1,460 percent revenue growth over the past
five years to the rapid growth of the Internet server market and
the company’s expertise in Linux and Open Source development.

He said, “Only VA Linux Systems offers a one-stop solution for
Linux servers, software, services and storage. VA’s key initiatives
in Build-to-Order Software and the Open Source Development Network
(OSDN(TM)), are fundamentally changing the way people develop and
distribute software.”

“We at Deloitte & Touche commend VA Linux Systems for having
the vision and determination to become one of the 50 fastest
growing technology companies in Silicon Valley,” said Paul Higo,
partner in High Technology Services, San Jose, California.”
