it fills a major gap in our dot-com software architecture. Contrary
to what people might think, the move is not to make Microsoft
unhappy. It’s good for Sun because it makes its money selling
servers and storage….”

“Q: Do you really think people will move in mass numbers to
StarOffice?”

“A: Over 1.1 million people have downloaded 65M bytes [the size
of StarOffice] over the Net, and you better believe that generates
far more than 1.1 million users. Of course people will use it.
Not one of the Fortune 1,000 companies isn’t evaluating
StarOffice.
