“Highground Systems Inc. is announcing this week that it is
extending its Web-based storage management software to the Unix and
Linux platforms.

Adding this new support to SRM (Storage Resource
Manager
), previously available only on Windows NT, will give
organizations that have mixed NT and Unix operations a common
storage management tool kit, officials said.

SRM will be available immediately for Solaris, HP-UX, AIX
and Linux.

The software enables IT managers to monitor and analyze back-end
storage subsystem characteristics for their entire networks,
including RAID levels, and available disk capacity as well as to
manage storage components closer to the end user, such as files,
folders, directories and messages.”
