“CSP Inc. (Nasdaq: CSPI), a maker of high-performance computer
software, systems and services, today reported financial results
for the first quarter of fiscal 2000 ended November 30, 1999. For
the first quarter of fiscal 2000, CSP Inc. reported a net loss of
$330,000, or $0.09 per share, on sales of $15.7 million, compared
with net income of $475,000, or $0.13 per diluted share, on sales
of $11.5 million in the first quarter of fiscal 1999.”

“… We are pleased by the UCAR International contract to
provide MODCOMP’s innovative Linux version of ScadaBase. Our
modular SCADA software, which incorporates the high-performance
characteristics of the Linux operating system, is ideally suited
for real-time process control,
factory automation and utility
applications. Also at MODCOMP during the quarter we recorded a
major storage system outsourcing order with ePlus Inc., a leading
supply chain and asset management e-business solutions provider. We
are excited about the growth opportunities that we see in our
systems integration and outsourcing business.”

“We continue to be optimistic with the progress we have made in
the development of our ViewMax Web-to-host e-commerce software as
it evolves into the central part of our business strategy,”
continued Lupinetti. “We recently announced that ViewMax now
supports the Linux operating system, presenting an open source
alternative for integrating e-commerce applications with existing
enterprise systems. The new Linux version of ViewMax enables CSP to
reach e-commerce companies that have adopted this operating system
for its flexibility and low cost of ownership. With ViewMax, these
companies have an e-commerce solution that is extremely flexible,
quick to implement and easy to maintain.”
