Is Mac OS Lion More Advanced Than Linux?

“Heavy usage of adjectives seems to be the keyword of Apple’s
guideline for press releases. The company has over-used words like
magical, revolutionary, reinvents and advanced so many times that
they have lost their meaning.

“The company recently gave a sneak peek of Mac OS X Lion,
claiming it to be the world’s most advanced operating system. What
do you expect from an operating system? Some of the core jobs of an
operating system is to be like a layer between hardware and
application to identify hardware, allocate resources for
application and stay as invisible as possible.

“The Linux kernel has amazing support for hardware. In addition
to that Linux powers mission critical businesses like stock
exchanges and banks, it’s used in the back-end by mega corporates
like Google and Amazon; it runs the super-computers of the
world;”
