Boston Globe: Kapor Quits Board of Groove Networks

“Local software legend Mitch Kapor won’t confirm or deny a
published report that he quit the board of Beverly-based Groove
Networks Inc. because of its involvement in a program that could
help the federal government analyze personal information about
millions of Americans.

“‘I’ve stepped down off of multiple boards over the past couple
of years,’ Kapor said yesterday. Kapor, founder of Lotus
Development Corp., added that he had long intended to resign from
the Groove board in order to pursue his interest in producing free
open-source software.
