“Arizona and New Hampshire Teams to Expand High Performance
I/O and Networking Capabilities in Hard Hat Linux”

“MontaVista Software Inc., developer of the Hard Hat(TM)
Linux(R) operating system for embedded applications today announced
opening of design centers in Arizona and New Hampshire. The two
design centers bring together focused teams of engineers to enhance
and expand the MontaVista Hard Hat Linux offering. Joining existing
Sunnyvale and Dallas offices, MontaVista now boasts a nationwide
presence as the leading provider of Linux for embedded system
solutions.”

“The New Hampshire design center will be led by Dan Malek, the
well-known Linux and open source figure, with extensive
contributions to Linux for PowerPC architecture and networking
interfaces. Heading up the Arizona design center team is Ken
Keller, a highly respected designer and engineering manager who
comes to MontaVista with over 24 years of experience in the
real-time/embedded industry.”

“Bringing Ken and Dan onboard to head up our Design Centers
reinforces a clear commitment from MontaVista to the open source
community,” says James Ready, MontaVista CEO and president. “The
intellectual capital of highly talented engineers in these
locations strengthens MontaVista’s presence on a national
level.”
