Canada Computes: Book Review: Understanding The Linux Kernel

“Want to know what is in the kernel? Want to know what it all
does, or how it does it? Then this latest Linux tome from O’Reilly
could be just what you are looking for.”

Before we go any further though, a word of warning. This
book is not for the faint of heart. If phrases like “Coprocessor

out in a cold sweat and going cross-eyed, then it would probably be
best if the kernel’s mysteries stay just that.

“You can, quite happily, continue using Linux productively
without this book.”
