stretch of desktop, its keyboard and monitor waiting idly for a
system manager to occasionally turn their way. But Unix has never
required dedicated human interface peripherals; to the contrary,
any client platform can access the server as if it were local. So
we can replace the big server box with the tiny Netwinder, get rid
of the keyboard and monitor, and reclaim valuable office
space.”
