In parting, he noted that git is feature complete for his needs,
‘especially with the new diff-tree, it all pretty much does what I
want, and I don’t have any huge wish-list entries left.’ He
suggested that the next step is to get kernel developers using the
new tools, thus working on the usability of the front end scripts.
Linus added, ‘maybe in a week, you guys will have made CVS go away.
I hope so…'”
