Linux Kernel 4.1.6 LTS Out Now with Lots of MIPS Improvements, Many Updated Drivers

The sixth maintenance release of Linux kernel 4.1 LTS (Long-Term Support) brings with it numerous improvements to the MIPS architectures, as well as some enhancements for the x86, ARM, ARM64, PowerPC (PPC), and SPARC hardware architectures. Linux kernel 4.1.6 LTS also updates numerous drivers, adds sound improvements, and fixes issues for the NFS and OCFS2 file systems.
