Newsbytes: Corel Announces Free WordPerfect 8 For Linux

With the free offering for personal use, Corel becomes the
latest in a series of firms to provide full or nearly full versions
of a major product for Linux OS users.

It will be, the firm says, the first in a series of
Corel-for-Linux products that also will include a shrink wrapped
version, a server edition and, eventually, a full suite of
applications.
