== PostgreSQL Weekly News - Dec 25th 2002 == Over the weekend v7.3.1 was packaged up as the latest stable release. Purely meant to be a bug fix release, this one does have one major change, in that the major number of the libpq library was increased, which means that everyone is encouraged to recompile their clients along with this upgrade. This release can be found on all the mirrors, and on the root ftp server, under: ftp://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/source/v7.3.1 Please report any bugs to [email protected]. == PostgreSQL Product News == DBManager 2.0 Released http://www.dbtools.com.br/EN/dbmanagerpro.php Quantum GIS 0.0.8 Released http://qgis.sourceforge.net/ == PostgreSQL In the News == Lanux Teams with PostgreSQL, Inc. on HA Database Solution http://www.pgsql.com/press/PR_Lanux_PgSQL.html == Upcoming Events == PostgreSQL Training: Atlanta, Georgia, United States: January 20-24 Bruce Momjian will be giving a 4.5-day training class at the Big Nerd Ranch. http://www.bignerdranch.com/Classes/Postgresql.html Replication Meeting: Tokyo, Japan: February 1, 5-7 Bruce will be involved in a replication discussion with the Japan PostgreSQL Users Group (JPUG) on February 1 (date tentative): http://www.postgresql.jp/ Bruce will also be speaking at the NET&COM conference and in the SRA booth. http://expo.nikkeibp.co.jp/netcom/index.html FOSDEM: Brussels, Belgium: February 8-9 A two-day PostgreSQL training track will be part of the FOSDEM conference. http://candle.pha.pa.us/fosdem/ http://www.fosdem.org/index == PostgreSQL Weekly News - Dec 25th 2002 == Don't forget to read Elein Mustain's Weekly Summary of the PostgreSQL General Mailing List http://www.varlena.com/GeneralBits/ On the Web: http://www.postgresql.org http://advocacy.postgresql.org
