Bug Buddy 2.2.99
Hello,
Bug Buddy "Rain Dogs" 2.2.99 is outprefix/share/gnome-about/gnome-version.xml
- Use hash tables for components and products
- Present the user a list of applications from all-applications:
GLib-2.1.5
GLib-2.1.5 is now available for download at:
ftp:
This is a the final prerelease before GLib-2.2. As compared
to the stable GTK+-2.0.x series, it contains a number of small
API additions. Also new in this release is support for building
using an included copy of the Trio library (http:
for formatting strings on systems whose printf() function is
deficient.
Since 2.1.4, changes are various minor bug fixes and fixes
to the build process. (Various problems that showed up
from the major build changes in 2.1.4 have now been fixed.)
Notes:
* This is is still a development release. Please test it.
Please don't use it in production.
* Only very minor changes are anticipated between GLib-2.1.5
and the final GLib-2.2.0.
* Installing this version will overwrite your existing
copy of GLib-2.0. If you have problems, you'll need
to reinstall GLib-2.0.7.
* The seeding algorithm for the pseudo-random generator used by
GRand and GRandom was because some seeds would yield very bad
pseudo-random streams. If you need exact compatibility with the
GLib-2.0 algorithm, a G_RANDOM_VERSION environment variable
is supported; see the README file for further details.
* Bugs should be reported to http:
About GLib
==========
GLib is the low-level core library that forms the basis for projects
such as GTK+ and GNOME. It provides data structure handling for C,
portability wrappers, and interfaces for such runtime functionality as
an event loop, threads, dynamic loading, and an object system.
More information about GLib is available at:
http:

GTK+-2.1.5
GTK+-2.1.5 is now available for download at:
ftp:
This is the final prerelease before GTK+-2.2. The major
change as compared to the stable GTK+-2.0.6 is support for
multiple displays and multiple screens in GDK, although there are
numerous minor changes as well.
Changes since GTK+-2.1.3 are mostly bug fixes. Among
other things the GtkFileSel widget should work better with
non-ASCII filenames than it has in previous GTK+-2.x
releases.
Notes:
* This is still a development release. Please try it out.
Please don't use it in production.
* Installing this version will overwrite your existing
copy of GTK+-2.0. If you have problems, you'll need
to reinstall GTK+-2.0.9.
* GTK+-2.2 will be source and binary compatible with
the GTK+-2.0.x series.
* You'll need at least Pango-1.1.2 or Pango-1.0.5 for correct
operation.
* GTK+ looks for theme engines in a version dependent directory,
so you'll need to reinstall any theme engines you want to use.
* Bugs should be reported to http:
What is GTK+
============
GTK+ is a multi-platform toolkit for creating graphical user
interfaces. Offering a complete set of widgets, GTK+ is suitable for
projects ranging from small one-off tools to complete application
suites.
GTK+ has been designed from the ground up to support a range of
languages, not only C/C++. Using GTK+ from languages such as Perl and
Python (especially in combination with the Glade GUI builder) provides
an effective method of rapid application development.
GTK+ is free software and part of the GNU Project. However, the
licensing terms for GTK+, the GNU LGPL, allow it to be used by all
pdevelopers, including those developing proprietary software, without
any license fees or royalties.

Pango-1.1.6
Pango-1.1.6 is now available for download at:
ftp://ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk/v2.1/
This is the final prerelease before Pango-1.2; this release
is expected to be essentially identical to the final 1.2 except
for some documentation updates. This package is ABI and API
compatible with the public API in Pango-1.0.x.
The two major changes as compared to Pango-1.0.x are support
for the Xft2 and fontconfig libraries, and a new shaper for
Indic languages using OpenType fonts.
Changes since 1.1.5 are minor; there is one fix for a crash
that can occur when shaping certain invalid combinations
of Korean characters.
About Pango
===========
Pango is a library for layout and rendering of text, with an emphasis
on internationalization. Pango can be used anywhere that text layout
is needed; however, most of the work on Pango-1.0 was done using the
GTK+ widget toolkit as a test platform. Pango forms the core of text
and font handling for GTK+-2.0.
Pango is designed to be modular; the core Pango layout can be used
with four different font backends:
- Core X windowing system fonts
- Client-side fonts on X using the Xft library
- Direct rendering of scalable fonts using the FreeType library
- Native fonts on Microsoft backends
Dynamically loaded modules then handle text layout for particular
combinations of script and font backend. Pango-1.0.0 ships with a wide
selection of modules, including modules for Hebrew, Arabic, Hangul,
Thai, and a number of Indic scripts. Virtually all of the world's major
scripts are supported.
As well as the low level layout rendering routines, Pango includes
PangoLayout, a high level driver for laying out entire blocks of text,
and routines to assist in editing internationalized text.
More information about Pango is available from http://www.pango.org/.
Pango depends on version 2.0.0 of the GLib library; more information
about GLib can be found at http://www.gtk.org/.
Changes between 1.1.5 and 1.1.6
===============================
* Fix crash with isolated Hangul tone marks.
* Improve font solection for Hangul tone marks
* Improve range definitions for basic-xft [Jungshik Shin]
* Docs improvements [Matthias Clasen]
