gcalctool 4.3.35

Application

gcalctool

Description

gcalctool is the default GNOME desktop calculator.

It has Basic, Financial and Scientific modes. Internally it uses
multiple precision arithmetic to produce results to a high degree
of accuracy.

Changes since the last version
(4.3.31).

  • Fixed part of bug 126125. If the user entered:
“1+(2()<backspace>)”, this resulted in an answer of 0.
  • Fixed bug 130187. When gcalctool changes modes now, it’s
internal state and the display are cleared.
  • Fixed bug 130282. Fixes for more problems with the thousands
separator in certain locales, plus correct handling of the radix
character with the initial constant values. I’d appreciate folks
trying this out as it’s still not clear whether it’s been
    successfully fixed for all locales.
  • Fixed bug 128603 again. The solution this time was to duplicate
the initial string constant values to be confident that they are
    not in read-only memory.

Liferea 0.4.6

Application

Liferea 0.4.6

Description

Liferea (Linux Feed Reader) is an RSS/RDF news aggregator which
also supports CDF channels, Atom/Echo/PIE feeds, and OCS
directories. It’s intended to be a clone of the Windows-only
FeedReader.

Enhancements

  • Added missing pubDate support for RSS 2.0 items.
  • Added support for the ttl tag in RSS channels as proposed by
    Bud Hovell.
  • Added .desktop file and its install targets as proposed by John
    McKnight.
  • Added a window position save patch from pasp.
  • Update of the japanese translation from Takeshi Aihana.
  • Added a the spanish translation from Carlos Fenollosa and J.
    Mateos.
  • Added a toggle unread status of an item as proposed by Tobias
    C. Rittweiler.
  • Added a remove cached items option to clear all cached items of
    a feed.
  • Added the ability to accept URL drops into the program window
and subscribe to the dropped URL.
  • Written some more and new text for the Liferea Online Help
    Feed.
  • Many code improvements and a big patch with memory leak fixes
    by Karl Soderstrom.
  • Added a patch from Christophe Barbe to display the count of new
    item in the folder title.
  • Juho Snellman convinced me that GtkHTML2 does support CSS. So I
included his patch and moved the HTML style properties into a style
sheet. The user can now create an own style sheet
    (~/.liferea/liferea.css) to change the styles.

THIS CHANGE WILL MAKE ALREADY READ BUT NOT
UPDATED ITEMS UNREAD AGAIN ON THE FIRST UPDATE
AFTER THIS UPGRADE. THIS IS NOT A BUG AND IS
DUE TO THE CHANGED HTML CACHE AND WILL HAPPEN
ONLY ONCE.

Fixes

  • Fixed a bug in the syndication namespace support which caused
an default update interval of one day for every feed which uses
this namespace. The wrong default interval ‘ll be automatically
fixed after the next time the feed is updated.
  • Fixes the priority of vs. tag handling for Atom/Echo/PIE
    feeds.
  • Fixed the broken tray icon logic.
  • Fixed the loading of non wellformed cache files (this should
    fix bug 865421 and 861588).
  • Fixed incorrect UTF-8 HTTP URL encoding for Feedster search
    feed subscriptions.
  • Fixed bug 858750 (cannot type ‘t’ in search entry reported by
    J. Mateos)
  • Fixed bug 857386 (crash on subscription without selected folder
    reported by Jeremy Messenger)
  • Fixed bug 861688 (broken support for lastmodified HTTP
    header)

Conglomerate 0.7.10

Conglomerate 0.7.10 Released

Conglomerate is a free, user-friendly XML editor. It is
particularly aimed at DocBook, but should be able to handle any XML
document type.

This is still an unstable release; there are still some known
repeatable crash bugs. Please download it and test that no new bugs
have been introduced!

You can download it from the usual place: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82766

Enhancements

  • The Home and End keys now take you to the start/end of text
within the current structural element; with Ctrl pressed they take
you to the start/end of text within the document. Shift can be used
to drag out selections as usual. This fixes bug #109698 (me)

Fixes

  • Big rewrite of File->Properties dialog – it now uses Glade,
it updates in response to changes of DTD, file URL and modification
    status (bugs #122029, 130728) (me)
  • Overview tree’s root element now changes when the file’s URL
    changes (bug #130728) (me)
  • Fix for bug #130724 (crash on loading examples/test-docbook.c)
    (me)
  • Added a wrapper function to generate generic property dialog
descriptions to reduce translator workload (fixes bug #124780)
    (me)
  • Various documentation and Debian packaging fixes, including bug
    #123131 (Geert Stappers)
  • Disabled plugin support for Norman Walsh’s website format as
it’s currently too broken to be worth supporting (see Bugzilla
#113001 for some of the problems) (me)
