The Coolest Place for Linux Software Just Got Better! Linux-Howto.com joins Linuxberg

January 26, 1999 – Toronto – TUCOWS Interactive Limited today
announced that Linux-HowTo.com has joined The TUCOWS Network as
part of Linuxberg. Effective immediately, the new Linux-HowTo Guide
is available on the World Wide Web at http://HowTo.Linuxberg.com.
Featuring the latest and most updated technical information about
the Linux operating system, Linux-HowTo is a great place to find
out just about anything about using, installing and upgrading
Linux.

“I am really excited to be working with the Linuxberg team. In
addition to ensuring that Linux-HowTo continues to be a great place
to get Linux help, I will also be heading up their helpdesk,” says
Rob Kennedy, maintainer of Linux-HowTo. “This will free up a lot of
time for me, giving me a lot more opportunity focus on making
Linux-HowTo more valuable to Linux users. Just think… all the
software you ever wanted at Linuxberg, and all the documentation
you ever wanted at HowTo.Linuxberg.com. What a beautiful
combination!”

Howto.Linuxberg.com will function as the product support portion
of Linuxberg, providing Linux users with tips on installing
different variations of the operating system, as well as assisting
users with configuring the hundreds of third party applications
available for the platform.

“Linux-HowTo provides a much needed function within the
community,” says TUCOWS founder Scott Swedorski. “As more and more
people adopt Linux as their preferred platform, providing quality
support and easy access to third party software will become crucial
Linux’s continued adoption. We feel that Linuxberg and the addition
of Linux-HowTo to our network of sites goes a long way to providing
this much needed service.”

Linuxberg was launched with over 40 affiliated mirror sites
around the world with an expectation to expand to more than 100 by
March, 1999. Linuxberg provides Linux users with a highly
available, highly accessible resource through which they can
download their favorite software titles and distributions without
fear of slow downloads or broken links. With the addition of
Linux-HowTo, visitors will now also be able to browse the hottest
Linux links, answers to FAQ’s, information on upcoming events and
other interesting details surrounding the Linux operating
system.
