ways then start up synaptic/yast/control centre, type your
password, wait for it to load the package list and then find the
software and then click install, confirm and then wait for it to be
installed.“This is if you know the package name, but Linux Mint has a nice
feature for that, named apt search [search]. I do not know how it
can be done in other distro’s, but I like the feature.“also wgetting a .rpm/.deb package and then rpm -i or dpkg -i is
faster then opening up your FM, browse to the folder (cd) and then
click the package, wait for it to load, click install and type your
password.”
