fairly deep level, since I had asked it of others several times on
different subjects. I was forced to say to myself, nothing. I was
talking the talk, so to speak, but not walking the walk.”

“Too much rhetoric. Too much hype. Not enough action. Recent
announcements by companies hoping to get on the Free software
bandwagon, ranging from smaller OEMs to mighty Microsoft, all
follow a common thread; they are announcements only. I challenge
these companies to produce one shred of evidence as to things
they’ve actually done to assist Open Source software in its goal of
creating useful, widely applicable, and above all Free
software.”
