ActiveState Chooses VMware over Red Hat for PaaS, since Red Hat isn’t ‘open source’

“Although Red Hat sees OpenShift as being an open platform for
the cloud, ActiveState doesn’t see it the same way.

“It’s not Open Source and our current view is it is more limited
in the range of languages, language versions and frameworks
supported,” Mueller said. “It’s basically Red Hat in the cloud,
which isn’t enough to satisfy customer needs we have seen.”
