openSUSE 13.2 is a great alternative to Ubuntu and Debian based systems and provides an extra level of stability over Fedora. I found the installer to be a bit of a nightmare especially when it came to partitioning. Sometimes it is ok to mimic how others are doing it. On a plus note the installer handles installing to UEFI and BIOS based computers without fuss. The GNOME desktop is incredibly good nowadays and the GNOME audio and video integration features work nicely together.
