Audio: Recording of Linus Torvalds Q&A Session

Quite a few of us have recorded the 1 hour session on minidisc,
then transferred it to .wav, then .ogg format (Red Hat 8.0 kinda
hates .mp3’s… couldn’t find lame anywhere in the distro).

The session occurred Wednesday evening at 6:30pm Ship’s time
(EST) At any rate, the whole thing is uncut, 60:30 long, and 38MB
in size. XMMS and Winamp should have no problems with .ogg, so
everything should be okay.

Topics range wide and far, and include such things as 2.6,
various projects around the ‘net, and personal insights into what
Linux and Linus have to do with each other these days. The file can
be had in its entirety here.

Note: anyone who wants to mirror this critter is more than
welcome to… just let me know if you do. We hope to have a
Q&A session recorded and uploaded with all the speakers
simultaneously (see www.geekcruises.com for complete details.)

This file was recorded and posted with express permission from
Linus Torvalds, and Neil Bauman, CEO of Geek Cruises, Inc.
