An update for the game scraped by Steam DB hints at broader OS support for Brutal Legend, which made its way to Windows PC in February. Double Fine has released Mac and Linux versions of past games, like Psychonauts and The Cave. It also addressed fan requests for Mac and Linux ports of Brutal Legend earlier this year.
“Hopefully there will be!” the developer wrote on its official Twitter account. “If it does well enough on Windows we’ll be able to fund more PC platforms like Mac and Linux.”
Double Fine’s Chris Remo wrote on NeoGAF that the studio has “an eye towards ever-growing platform support.”
