Corporation today announced two new, low-cost print servers that
provide simple, reliable printing solutions for 10
megabit-per-second (Mbps) Ethernet networks. In addition, the
company has introduced Linux(a) and NetWare(a) 5.0 operating system
(OS) support across its entire Intel(R) NetportExpress(TM) 10 Mbps
and 10/100 Mbps print server family.”

Traditionally compatible with virtually any printer and all
major operating systems for exceptional flexibility, Intel
NetportExpress Print Servers now offer NetWare 5.0 and Linux
printing support. ‘With its tremendous growth in 1998, Linux
represents a significant operating system alternative in UNIX(a)
environments,’ said Johnson. ‘Intel is the first print server
vendor to announce Linux printing support in a network print
