“Red Hat Software, Inc., the market-leading provider of Linux
software and expertise, today announced that the company was
awarded a LinuxWorld Conference & Expo Favorites Award for the
Red Hat Linux 5.2 operating system. Red Hat Linux 5.2 was chosen in
a vote by nearly 8,000 attendees of LinuxWorld in San Jose, Calif.,
the Linux community’s largest event.

The award was the latest in a series of awards and praise for
Red Hat from the Linux and computing communities. Last month, Red
Hat Linux was named product of the year by InfoWorld for the third
consecutive year and a recent survey in LinuxWorld showed that 74
percent of those polled cite Red Hat as the most recognized Linux
vendor.”
