“Caldera Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:CALD), the “Linux for eBusiness”
leader, today announced the availability of OpenLinux eBuilder, a
100% open standards eBusiness solution that includes IBM’s
WebSphere application server and Evergreen’s ECential 3.0 Open
Commerce Framework.”

“OpenLinux eBuilder enables existing business processes to
be re-engineered for the Internet across all supported hardware
platforms and database systems.
This greatly reduces the cost
of eCommerce solutions implementation for businesses deploying new
and legacy systems, while increasing margins for VARs, systems
integrators and electronic Service Providers (eSPs). eBuilder
builds on the foundation of OpenLinux eServer, a thin,
component-based operating system that makes Linux servers easy to
install, configure and manage remotely through Webmin.”

“Included in OpenLinux eBuilder is Evergreen’s ECential 3.0,
which delivers robust, open standards-based (Java, XML) distributed
eCommerce services and components that enable high performance
solutions for enterprise or Application Service Provider (ASP)
eBusiness sites.”
