“Centura Software Corp., a leading global provider of solutions
that mobilize the enterprise, announced today that it has
co-founded EMBLIX, the Japan Embedded Linux Consortium, in
conjunction with twenty-four other leading companies.”

EMBLIX will promote embedded Linux as the new international
standard for embedded computing & internet/information
appliances, and standardize peripheral technologies such as
software components, tools & APIs.
To that end, the trade
organization is dedicated to exchanging information with related
organizations such as the Embedded Linux Consortium overseas and in
Japan. Centura is also a founding member of the Embedded Linux
Consortium.”

this new organization to establish Linux as the new international
standard for embedded OS,” stated Scott Broomfield, CEO of Centura
