BW: Infonet’s High-Performance Messaging Server Now Supports Linux

“Infonet Services Corp.’s info.net business unit today announced
that its high-performance Messenger Server, part of the Messenger
WorkPlace family of productivity solutions, now runs on the Linux
operating system.”

“By adding Linux to its existing support for both Windows NT and
Sun Solaris, Infonet can now offer customers a wide range of
popular platforms.”

“Many organizations have begun using Linux because it is a
cost-effective, Unix operating system that delivers the scalability
and reliability that most back-office systems require. By
including Linux in its portfolio of available operating systems for
Messenger Server, Infonet is allowing these organizations to
leverage its existing Linux-based servers rather than purchasing
separate hardware and operating systems for their messaging
needs.
