“Learning Tree today announced its plans to release “Linux
TCP/IP Networking and Services: Hands-On,” a new course on how to
install and configure TCP/IP networking and services on Linux.
This four-day course will provide extensive hands-on experience
building a complete set of both local area and wide area networking
solutions using Linux and open-source tools.“
“There’s a growing need for practical information on how to set
up secure, high-availability, Linux server platforms,” said John
Moriarty, V.P. of Product Development for Reston, VA-based Learning
Tree. “This new course will focus on how to use Linux, and how to
configure and administer Linux networks. In-class exercises will
teach participants how to configure BIND, DNS and Web servers,
share files and printers with NFS and Samba, enable routing and
establish PPP WAN links,” he added.”
“Upon release, “Linux TCP/IP Networking and Services: Hands-On”
will join Learning Tree’s existing UNIX Curriculum, which includes
“UNIX Server Administration for the Enterprise,” “UNIX Tools and
Utilities” and “UNIX Programming,” plus 11 other courses on
Solaris, Linux, UNIX administration and programming, Perl
programming and TCP/IP programming courses.”
