“IDG World Expo, the world’s leading IT event-management
company, today announced that exhibit space for its popular
LinuxWorld Conference & Expo is sold out. This marks the
fourth-consecutive show LinuxWorld Conference & Expo has sold
out at more than 150,000 square feet. Forty companies remain on a
waiting list for the event, scheduled for August 14-17, 2000,
despite a 60% increase in expo floor space this year.

“Linux is red hot, and we’re tickled pink,” said Charlie Greco,
IDG World Expo president and chief executive officer. “Linux is
`top-of-mind’ for everyone in the industry today, and for good
reason. Recent events have propelled Linux and the open-source
software movement to unprecedented heights. We are delighted to
convene the premier event for the growing Linux community.”

“IDG World Expo also indicated today that it must relocate the
next West Coast LinuxWorld event, scheduled for August 27-30, 2001,
to San Francisco to accommodate the rapidly growing number of
exhibitors and attendees. According to Greco, “We are doing
everything we can to accommodate the waiting-list companies this
year, but we’re simply going to need more space next time.”
