“Middlesoft is creating a software platform for the emerging
Internet Appliance market. The Middlesoft Platform builds upon
vector animation technology that allows for the creation of device
specific graphical user interfaces, while also integrating
handwriting recognition, web access and email. Middlesoft expects
to launch the first release of its product at LinuxWorld in August
of 2000.”

“In conjunction with the financing, Hamilton F. Potter III, a
Managing Director of BPI Capital will join the Board of Directors
of Middlesoft. “Middlesoft is pioneering the market for software
developed specifically for the next generation of computing devices
which will change the way people interact with information,” said
Mr. Potter.”

“Also participating in the round were Jim Woodhill and the JMI
Equity Fund of San Diego. “Middlesoft is building the necessary
components to establish Linux as the de facto standard operating
system for non-PC devices,”
said Mr. Woodhill.”
