“OMNIS Technology Corporation… announced… that it has
secured a $3 million short-term loan from Astoria Capital Partners,
L.P., the company’s largest shareholder.”

“Gwyneth Gibbs, president of OMNIS, commented, “We appreciate
this vote of confidence from Astoria Capital. This financing
comes at a pivotal time for OMNIS, as we are introducing the
company into the Linux software development community
and have
just unveiled the latest version of our popular Rapid Application
Development tool, OMNIS studio. We believe that the Linux
marketplace offers considerable growth potential and look forward
to offering our clients a cross-platform solution to their Web
development needs.”

“James W. Dorst, COO and chief financial officer of OMNIS, said,
“We view this loan as a bridge financing that will enable us to
fund our plans for expansion, including marketing our new OMNIS
Studio product and building our infrastructure.”
