“PalmWorks…a provider of Internet services and online
applications for Wireless Personal Digital Assistants (WPDA)
announced today that it has selected Red Hat…and Penguin
Computing to provide the Internet server platforms that will power
PalmWorks online services and applications.”

“Penguin Computing’s reliable Linux servers will help PalmWorks
address its infrastructure needs as the demand for online
applications and services for handheld wireless devices continues
to grow,” said Sam Ockman, Penguin Computing Inc. President and
CEO. “Penguin Computing’s products provide companies with a
foundation on which to build a reliable, highly-available and
responsive service.”

PalmWorks will utilize redundant server sites equipped with
Penguin Computing server hardware, supplied with the powerful and
expandable Xeon processor. These servers will run Red Hat, Inc.’s
version of the Linux operating system.
This arrangement will
provide PalmWorks’ subscribers with the fastest and most reliable
service technology available for mobile wireless computing.”
