BW: Performance Technologies Releases Latest Telecom Connectivity Solution

“Performance Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:PTIX) today announced
the availability of its latest product for T1/E1 telecom network
connectivity, the CPC376. The CP376 provides telecom equipment
manufacturers and OEMs with an integrated hardware/software product
that expedites the development of telecom equipment applications
for current and next generation networks. It is strategically
designed with features and functionality for SS7, Wireless, Voice
over Network, and telecom switching applications, a combined market
size exceeding $100 billion.”

“The CPC376 is a 2 port T1/E1 line interface for CompactPCI
based systems. Telecom features include stratum level 3 clock
inputs and outputs for locking to selected off-board references,
alarming and health monitoring, hot swappable hardware, and high
availability drivers and operating system support. Hardware
features of the CPC376 include one Motorola MPC860MH PowerQUICC
processor and 32 MB of DRAM.”

“Like all of PTI’s telecom networking products, the CPC376 is
designed to preserve a user’s software investment by supporting
PTI’s common protocol API. A complete suite of WAN protocol
products are available for the CPC376, including SS7, SS7 MTP-2,
Frame Relay, LAPD, HDLC and X.25. Operating system support
includes Solaris(R), Windows 2000(R), Windows NT(R), and
Linux(R).”
