“Photodex(R) Corporation, a leading supplier of digital content
management, imaging and multimedia software, and SuSE Inc., based
in Oakland, Calif., the premier international distributor of
commercial Linux, announced today their partnership to provide
CompuPic(R) Digital Content Manager software for the SuSE Linux
operating system.”

CompuPic brings powerful, yet user-friendly imaging
capabilities to the SuSE Linux desktop, enabling SuSE Linux to
compete head-on with other platforms. These tools should not be
taken for granted
,” said Paul Schmidt, CEO, Photodex.
“Professional web developers need powerful tools to more easily
develop and maintain web sites. Even novice users find it easier to
use the Linux desktop when familiar applications are available.
CompuPic solves these problems and more.”

“Linux is being widely adopted because the tools users want are
now available on it in familiar and easy-to-use interfaces,” said
Marc Torres, President of SuSE Inc. “SuSE Linux has been praised in
the press before for supporting a wide variety of graphic and
multimedia hardware devices. Compupic is a professional tool for
multimedia and graphic manipulation tasks, and helps make SuSE
Linux an increasingly attractive platform for multimedia
users.”
