“Rare Medium Inc. announced… it has opened a Java competency
center in San Antonio, announced Suresh Mathews, president and
chief operating officer.

“According to Mathews, this is a strategic business decision
that supports the Internet solutions firm’s growth strategy.

“Our Java team’s expertise in key open-source technologies,
such as the Linux operating system and the Apache web server,
allows Rare Medium to capitalize on the flexibility and
functionality of open standards,”
said Mathews. “This move
also extends our Java product line and strengthens our foundation
for interoperable, scalable and secure Internet applications like
E-commerce, business workflow and knowledge management.”
