Thomas V. Butta Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Butta was formerly
Chief Executive Officer of FGI, a strategic marketing, research and
advertising communications enterprise in Chapel Hill, North
Carolina. He brings to Red Hat a wealth of strategic marketing
experience developed while representing a wide variety of
technology and consumer products companies.”

“Butta was a key leader in driving successful marketing efforts
for companies such as Lotus Development Corporation, Newsweek,
Deloitte Consulting and Reebok International Ltd. As CEO of FGI,
Butta led marketing and advertising efforts that spanned a broad
range of marketing disciplines, including strategic planning, brand
identity, channel marketing, traditional media, new media and
Internet marketing. Under Butta’s leadership, FGI grew to 120
employees and became one of the largest and most influential
communications agencies in the southeastern United States,
representing major national organizations. Prior to FGI, Butta held
a variety of executive positions at Hill Holliday, Connors
Cosmopulos, Christopher Vincent, Inc. and Young & Rubicam.
Butta is a graduate of Hamilton College and a founding member of
the Non-Violence Project and of the Videotex Industry
Association.”
