“Red Hat, the leading provider of open source solutions for
Internet infrastructure, today announced it received the Computer
Reseller News Test Center Editors’ Choice award for Red Hat Linux
6.2 Professional Edition. In this comparative review Red Hat
received straight A’s in scalability, reliability, feature set,
ease of setup and channel program, with an overall rating of A+
awarded by Computer Reseller News.

“Red Hat’s branding image helps solution providers struggling to
demonstrate the advantages of this open-source wonder over another
operating system,” wrote the editors at Computer Reseller News. “As
an established brand, Red Hat can take a more generalized approach
than other Linux distributors.”

“Some of the highlights of the Red Hat program include developer
support for custom applications, extensive training and discounted
advertising on the Red Hat Web site,” the editors continue. In this
review, Red Hat was compared to Caldera’s OpenLinux eServer 2.3,
TurboLinux’s Server 6.0 and SuSE’s Linux 6.4.”
